I stumbled on this video that seems to be real enough but you can never be sure when its from an anonymous source. The Iraqi Government had said they would release only certain parts of the video, which they did here (Link To First Saddam Video Post). I have all the videos here so you can see for yourself. The first one is the FULL EXECUTION and it is not for minors or the feint of heart.

Justice has been served but the timing of execution is horrible. Saddam should have been executed after the Muslim holiday that officially ends on January 2, 2007.
They should have granted the death wish of Saddam –> death by Firing Squad should be served to the BUTCHER OF BAGHDAD because that is his last wished.
This should be the reward for a muslim leader of the country having no weapons of mass destruction.
Saddam deserves this kind of humiliating death due to the poor understanding of his religion. He lost most of his countries wealth on his personal luxurious life style if in the first place he used this wealth on technology he may not get this kind of punishment.

For the record, I was happy to see Saddam taken from power, not executed. I do not rejoice in anyone’s death. However, I see alot of people here calling Saddam a “Muslim” leader and Iraq a “Muslim” country.
To start, Saddam was not a theological ruler, he was a dictator. Iraq was NOT, under Saddam’s regime, a muslim theocracy. Saudi Arabia is a Muslim country, with a King that is referred to as the “Keeper of the two holy Mosques”. Those are merely the facts.
Lastly, I pose a question to all Muslims; Do you truly believe that Saddam Hussein was a “Muslim Leader”? Is this the representation of Islam that you want the world to see? Be wary who you martyr, for it speaks volumes about your morality and not your religion.
The Koran is just as anti-murder as the tanak and the talmud and the Christian bible, and the teachings of Bhudda. How can you call Saddam a “great muslim” if he broke so many rules of the very faith you say he represented?
I just don’t understand. I want peace, but I don’t want people to think that Islam allows for the kind of actions that Saddam purported on his own people and others around him. I do not support the Death penalty in any case. I just want to know how anyone could support such a man, that would kill his own brother?!?!

Well put. The US is at fault for putting Hussein in power. Playing the puppet master in other countries has always come back to bite the US in the ass.
However, I think you put too much faith in the idea that Bush could think up ANYTHING on his own. I am pretty sure that he is a pawn, much like Regan. Just a face for the evil admin to do its dirty deeds behind. I mean lets face it BUSH is practically retarded. But that does not excuse his implied involvement in the War crimes commited in the most recent Iraq war.
Oh and don’t forget we also trained and armed Osama Bin Ladin to fight the Russians and keep them out of Afghanistan.
It amazes me how many horrible things the US has done since WWII. The fear of communism could not have been the only driving force. I mean, If the world could unite to defeat the Nazi’s we could easily do the same to defeat Russia. Perhaps it was our overzealous use of the atomic bomb in Japan that left my forefathers afraid that they themselves now had to keep power or be over thrown/destroyed.
Hopefully we, the US, can move on as a country and right these wrongs that we have committed.

Thanks for the translation. My arabic is limited to shopping and saying hello, basic stuff that helps when I am trying to understand a culture and a theology (I lived in Saudi Arabia for ten years or so as a child). I do try to understand people before I say anything on any subject. I speak French as well and I have seen the world in my travels, so I do not pass judgement, because I have seen where we go but for the grace of God.
Honestly, I do not think that Bush or Cheney or Rumsfeld will ever be put on trial for the War crimes they have commited in their concocted Iraqi war for “freedom”. Just as the administrations that put Hussein into power in the first place will never come to justice for tinkering in other peoples countries and lives. Don’t forget, many of us Americans blame BUSH and his puppeteers for the 12000 Iraqi’s and 3000 AMERICAN death’s caused in this fruitless war. Hopefully, the world will see that in our last election, the US decided that it did NOT want BUSH and his kind in power any longer. Inshalla. Boukra Inshalla we will have peace.
However, I can understand the Iraqi people that are angry with Saddam for killing many of their own countrymen. The way that the execution was carried out was a shame. The witnesses are supposed to be kept seperate from the accused, for the express purpose that they do not cause the state sanctioned murder to be “cruel and unusual”. I am sorry that the Iraqi government decided to carry out the execution on the Eid Al-Udha, I am pretty sure that the US doesn’t carry out executions on Christmas day! I am also a bit concerned that Hussein’s trial was not held by the UN in neutral territory. This does not bode well for the US or any conviction that was reached.
In short, I would like to say on behalf of many many liberal people and bloggers that reside in the US as citizens, that we are truly sorry for what our leaders have done in this “war on terror”, and that we will strive all our lives to right these wrongs. If I had it my way BUSH would be impeached today, along with cheney and we’d have President Pelosi!! But I am only one blogger. I am in a “thought minority” as it were. I do not have a religion, but I pray for peace and I disdain any killing of any living creature. If I could fathom a God then I would imagine that this God would not want his children to kill each other for any reason. Many are still pro-death penalty, but I am not. Especially after seeing one. No matter what a person has done, we as mere humans have no right to kill them. As a society of civilized people we do have to remove them from society, but killing them does not make anything better. Violence begets violence I always say.
