Howdy yall, as it turns out and as I suspected this was a false alarm/bogus/ghey/FAKE. Its a “Fan Novel” like the ones recently listed on buzzfeed. Sorry for the bother.The last Harry Potter book appears to have been leaked*. Its a PDF and around 650 pages long.

I’m not sure why you are having trouble downloading the zipped file. Can you explain what happens when you try and download it? Is it a security setting in one of your apps? Do you get an error in your browser? I’ll need some more info in order to help you. So far the file has been downloaded many many times and I would like to be able to make sure that the file hosting service is still working the way it is supposed to work. Thanks in advance for any info you can supply.
As it stands, I’m not a big fan of distributing PDF’s that aren’t archived in some way. PDF’s just aren’t as secure as they used to be. Actually, I’m not a fan of distributing anything that is not archived. With an archived file the end user can scan it with all the anti-viri/malware apps that they can throw at it before any code might become active.
I haven’t found any exploits in this PDF so its 99% secure, considering I use a three level redundancy policy on anything I distribute.
Anyway, if you don’t feel like explaining anything, you can always just google the file name with “.pdf” as the file type. Its probably all over the net by now so you could find it as a PDF anywhere. Just make sure to DL it to a protected environment like a VM or Sanbox so you can scan it for naughty code.

My God, whoever wrote that book, i must say , has got a lot of potential. I have the fake or whatever it is called. I must say that book really got the mickey out of me. I mean , lots of snogging and flirting. I am trying to support the idea that it is fake , but i half wish it is not. If it s a fake, then the only thing i can say is J.K Rowlings has got to be careful.

Except the ending that I thought was a bit overdone, and the snogging things that were too often, I must say I was enjoying it. I also thought that the writing style was a bit easier than the other books (JK Rowling’s) , because I didn’t need to look at my dictionary as often as when I read the previous book, or maybe thats because my English is better now :). What made me hate it was that I spent most of my time reading it when I was in holiday abroad… If only I knew it was fake 😦
And this fan made version also made me hate Ginny. I dont kno why but I’d thought that Ginny was abit annoying in this version. But I’m quite happy now after I knew that it wasn’t JK’s work. At least I’d have a back up if I didnt like the real Deathly Hollows book (which is certainly not possible).

It’s an obvious fake. JKR would never put things about Ron and Hermione consummating their relationship (last few pages of the “book”). The writing style is very different.
How can people even doubt that this is fake, it’s already been proven that this is melindaleon’s the seventh horcrux. As to Krishna Chaitanya’s comments about the author knowing to much about R.A.B and the horcruxes, I sugest you reread HBP.
And to all those who think it that nobody would write a story of that length try a search for a.j.hall, aspeninthesunlight, or b l purdom to name a few, some people write novel length fan fiction to practice for their own writing careers (I know two popular fanfic writers who have since become published authors) and some are popular authors taking a break from their own work.

Actually the last word is scar… but in the last capture… then there is an epilog so maybe you have been mistaken by this. I also think it is not th right one… just because the way people are talking about it… and also the translator in our country… yeah and it had been published on the internet a long time ago, so it isn’t it. But I must say i really enjoyed it and believed it has been written by Rowling, it is a really good imitation, isn’t it.

I’m a hopeless romantic type of person so I loved how this fake harry potter and the deathly hollows done. All the snogging and not to mention the shagging really made the book appeared to be fake. JK won’t write anything like that coz harry potter is a children’s book after all. This fake book focused almost on the love story of Harry and Ginny, but what the heck..fake or not it all made us thrilled and anxious for the real one. =)

I loved the book, i loved Harry being able to be a realistic boy who thinks about sex and kissing for once. JKR said Harry will grow up in these books and Sex is apart of growing up. Love will save Harry and kissing and being passionate is love isn’t it.
I’m not saying that it is real or not i would hope for better explanations to this then the writing style is different? Whats different? What i noticed to be different is that we from time to time were looking out of the eyes and hearing the thoughts of other people then Harry for segements of time which i didn’t notice in the other books. Other then that this seemed very legit…

I read it and while not as well written, I was hooked after the first chapter and had a lot of fun with it. What tipped me off that it wasn’t the real one was all of the references to “hell freezing over.” I just cannot see that as being a common comment in the wizarding world.
As I said though, it was a fun read.
I was watching the show “The Colbert Report” the other day, and it said what happens in Harry Potter 7. Is this fake or real, cause its giving me a hard time.

First of all, although I did noticed writing style/content/language differences, it sucked me in the same way the other books do, and I kept telling myself that this must be the real thing, right? Who would have time to use almost everything revealed in the interviews (which has only stopped as of a few months ago) to write a 650 page novel? How long does that take? And what’s up with the spelling mistakes and editor’s notes? (I don’t know if the version on this page has those). For some darn reason I feel like it is too far fetched that the book leaked, and so JK’s staff put it out on the web as fanfiction to silence the leak and make less people read it. Especially since the result is some loving it and some ABSOLUTELY HATING IT (which I personally loved it…)
Anyway, the thing that concerns me is now that we’ve all read it and grown accustomed to Harry and the group living through the war, how are we gonna feel if one of them is ripped away in the REAL BOOK?
Can JK’s elevated story telling abilities and writing style make up for a good ole fashioned HAPPY ENDING?

I think that many people really want to believe that this is fake. i got it off some torrent site and was unsure myself. but what i have read seems as well written, suspenseful, and creative as the other books. i think that there is any fans so nutty to write 659 pages of fan fiction, but i DONT think that there are any who are nuts and great writers as well. Keep saying that it is a fake, but deep down you all feel that this could be real. And there are so many ways someone could have gotten a copy of it, especially one still with many errors and unedited.

No one can really know if it is real or not… Not until the real one comes out. But in my opionion I think it is totaly fake! I’ve read all of the previous books and this is definetly not the way J.K Rowling write. If you read it, it just doesn’t have the same loveable vibe as the other books. The charters don’t even use the same logic or way of thinking as in the other books. The characters just don’t feel like… you know….. Them. Do you know what I mean? Well thats just my opinion. Who knows it may even be the real book. What ever.

There is a very obvious clue that it is a fake. A the bottom of page 86, there is a footnote which reads “A/N: This chapter was written before JKR clarified how a Secret Keeper worked, so I left it as is. I do need others able to get into Grimmald Place.”
If the author is referring to JKR, the the author obviously can’t be JKR.
As mentioned before, the American spelling is also something of a give-away.
This is so obviously a fake , it says that Ron and Hermione are going to apparate to Privet Drive , Hermione doesn’t turn 17 until September.
We all know it’s fake… but instead of people stating the obvious over and over why don’t we hear the list of reasons why you think its fake.
1. i think there will be less love in the real book, even though that was my favortie part of this book. And less of Harry actually having hormones. I think it would be mor realistic for love to be everywhere because think back to wars of our history, people were getting hitched left and right before they left so they could have a glimpse of what that life would be like if they did not return and then for the people who did return started the babyboom…
2. I loved Draco in this book but i doubt that would ever happen
3. There isnt much on the other people in the book… like the DA members, i think we need more about them
4. What happened to Ollivander? the wand maker?
5.Dudley having magic isnt a bad idea, JKR said someone will perform majic late in life

1) whatever happened to wormtail returning the favour of harry saving his life???
2) hagrid, mr weasley, kingsley and mcgonnagal speak so less its hard to believe they hardly exist at all !!
3) slughorn says tht thrs an incantation tht needs to be said when a horcrux is made…. i dint see one being used in the book…..

well, that was obviously not the real HP7 but i wouldnt say its fake. The author never intended it to pass around as the real HP7 and even give give different title to it. Pretty Obvious someone will take advantage of this and passes it around as the real HP7 to fool others.
I’ve read the book and i am kind of dissappointed with the plot. And I’ve got the feeling that the writing style is different than the last six books but i still didnt know that it was different author until i read this blog lol. Anyways, yeah, too much snogging and kissing and its TOO MUCH (atleast for me) that the OOTP did very little in this wizard war and all left to HP and the gang. But some part was neatly done (im referring to the horcruxes and the reasons behind easch one and HP adventure on finding them)

Look, everyone. All you people are basically making the same comments over and over. Yes, it is indeed fake, but you ALL have to admit it is a very creative fanfiction. Heck, I don’t even know that much about HP, but the story is still great.
If you look at other download sites, as the one supplied by Rose, you will see that the writer of this story is not trying to pass it off as the real thing.
And as for not writing a 700-page long story just for fun, I recently wrote myself a 600 page long story just for my english teacher at school to read. All for fun.

Dobby the elf thing is killed. Voldemort kills Snape. Dumbledore returns as one of those portraits in his room. Harry kills a DeathEater with the Crucio Curse!
Snape is a hero. Dumbledore put on a cursed ring back during the Half Blood Prince days and it was going to kill him. He trapped the curse in his hand but only had less than a year to survive. Dumbledore TOLD Snape to kill him so Snape would gain control of the Elder Wand and not Voldemort. Snape didn’t become the master of the Elder Wand though, Draco Malfoy did for whatever reason.
Neville doesn’t kill that witch. He stands up to Voldemort and Voldemort puts a paralyzing curse on him. He then puts the Sorting hat down over his head and sets it on fire, it almost kills him but Harry saves him.
Harry then takes Draco’s wand and Voldy has the Elder Wand but Harry became the master of it. Harry and Voldy fight and harry gains control of Voldy’s Elder Wand and kills Voldemort. The whole fight is about half a paragraph, Voldy goes out like a bitch. It’s quite anticlimatic. They circle each other talking about how stupid each other is and then Harry tells him to be a man for once in his life. It pisses Voldy off, they both chant their spells at each other, Harry reflects Voldy’s killing spell back at him and kills him. The elder wand flies up in the air and Harry catches it. It’s this scene that’s the cover of the book. Voldemort is falling backwards, dead and Harry is catching the Elder Wand.
Harry is the last Horcrux.
Epilogue 19 years later: Neville is a professor at Hogwarts. Harry names his kids after his parents and after dubledore and snape. One is named Albus Severus Potter. He sends his kids to Hogwarts along with Ron and Herminies kids.
To the poster who says the last word in the book (supposed) isn’t ‘scar but should be, Rowling has already acknowledged that it isn’t. For the longest time it was to be, but for it didn’t end up being the last word. writers perogative…

The 396 page pdf is the real thing.
The proof is that, Amazon listed the book as being 784pages long, as of 7:20pm 18 July 2007, Amazon no longer list the page length of the book.
Why do they not list the page length, because to do so is False Advertising and everyone who purchased the book could sue.
The book is out, its terribly hard to read the pdf picture version, lots of people die, in the end all is well.

Sorry to anyone who thought they had their hands on something interesting, but I am here to put your concerns to rest.
This attachment is a fake. Anyone who believes it is the work of J.K.Rowling should be ashamed of themselves and apologise to her for their lack of beliefs in her ability to write, as the attached is utter rubbish. The style of writing alone is nothing like J.K.Rowling’s and a lot of what is mentioned on the first page alone is so likened to a typically poorly written fan fiction that it is surprising so many people believe it to be genuine.
As for the photos leaked to the internet of the books, I have seen these also and they are much worse displays of poorly constructed fanfictions.
My advice to you all? Just wait for July 21st, its only two days away, then will you wholly grasp the reality of the climax to this series.

Honestly this PDF is a fake written by a fan. We’ve already proven that. Personally I enjoyed it quite a bit. It has nothing to do with the real one cause I’ve downloaded it and there is no resemblance in the story or writing. Alot of people question whether or not the leak will hurt sales. I got the pictures version but either way I want to buy the hard copy and I will. I don’t actually plan to read the leaked version. I only wanted to validate that it is not what is in the PDF. Honestly I would not be surprised if the leak is different from the released copy anyways.

Ok, the PDF version is a fake, but deffinatly a good read. Actually I felt that the authour had a better handle on the hormonal feeling of a 17 year old and honestly felt that this was BETTER than any of the JK Rowling books, far more humour and better character development. This copy was a hell of a lot better than the real book actually. I downloaded this 3 days ago, and finished it last night. Then I read a summary on the actual version of Deathly Hallows b/c I’ve been to busy reading this one, but the summary makes it sound really bad compared to this one. I like this copy a lot better!!
I have similar feelings to Jake, i found the real book somewhat disappointing after reading this. Yes it does have a couple of gaping wholes in it, but it feels a lot more imersive. For example in this there are whole chapters dedicated to finding the Horcrux’s but in the book it says something along the lines of, “yeah we destroyed it. ”
The epilogue in this book was also a lot more substantial. I would love to see a sequel to THIS book.

The writing style, while similar to JKRs, was definitely a bit more adult-oriented in this version and it added a definite measure of realism and believability that i hadn’t really felt while reading books 1-6.
I’ve yet to read the real thing but TBH, from all the spoilers and reviews I’ve seen on HP7, i’m not looking forward to it.
This fanfic version actually plays out a story that I’m pretty happy with (snape imprisoned for life in Azkaban, percy coming to his senses & nobly sacrificing himself for the greater good, harry & draco forming a mutual respect, not having all the good characters killed off-etc). Then of course, there’s the matter of Dudley’s infatuation with Dark magic and the oh-so-avesome plot twist at the end
Personally. while i reckon HP7 will be good (and a LOT of fan questions will be answered), i doubt it’ll wrap things up into such a happy. decent package. It seems to me that JKR just went on a mass murdering spree and took out all the good characters (to elther fuel harry’s anger towards voldemort or just because she could). At least in this book we learn that in some way, shape or form, all the good characters survive (the author’s explaination of the veil was pretty sweet.)
I’d love to see a sequel to this fanfic. However i can only hope reading this hasn’t set me up for disappointment when reading the real thing.

I just finished the real book. In my opinion, the fan fiction or Fake was actually written better. The author went into more detail and did not drag the story nearly as JKR seems to have done in the new book. I was left with the distinct impression that a lot of detail went into the first half of the book, and the later part was a little “rushed”.
I have to say that after waiting for this book for the last year and a half ( as soon as finished HBP) that I was left disappointed, although I am not sure its from the actual finishing of the book, or the fact that the story is over.
I would honestly like to see the fan fiction published, I thought it was good and I would have no problem spending money on it to have it on my shelf.

At least Harry gets Ginny’s knickers off in this version – A good happy ending in the best of traditions. Maybe not up to JKR literary standards but a great read. Finished it at 4.00am so it was worth staying up for.

Haha, really, that fake HP7 is ridiculous!
Firstly, any story that does not immediately have you hooked by the first page is no book of Rowling’s.
Also, there is SUCH a huge difference between the gravity of the start of this ‘book’ to the ending of the real Book 6. At the end of HP & the Half-Blood Prince, I’m quite sure Harry had realised his true prupose in life, which would be hunting down Voldemort for the good of mankind, and it was rather grim, though one which he was ready to accept.
Here, he spends one-and-a-half pages dreading his aunt and uncle’s reaction to see him back on their doorstep early or whether it would be more or less embarassing if his friends were there! Oh, that must be such a huge task, much more difficult than accepting to be the one to ultimately face Voldemort, definitely! And the beginnings of each HP book usually give a genenal idea of what’s going on or the time during which it is set to start with, not starting off with talking specifically about the day Harry’s currently going through.
I’m not saying whoever the Harry Potter fans who wrote this were terrible writers or anything. I mean, they’re doing much better than I could ever write! But I feel as though pulling off such an imprecise duplicate and passing it off as the real final HP book is really an insult to JK Rowling herself.
Btw this comment is kind of in a different context to everything else here since the book’s out now, but I haven’t read it yet. So that’s the point of view I’m talking from.
Who decides which books get press (Harry Potter) and which get censored? After all, censorship is becoming America’s favorite past-time. The US gov’t (and their corporate friends), already detain protesters, ban books like “America Deceived” from Amazon and Wikipedia, shut down Imus and fire 21-year tenured, BYU physics professor Steven Jones because he proved explosives, thermite in particular, took down the WTC buildings. Free Speech forever (especially for books).

i read the real harry potter and the deathly hallows and i have not read this fake one but from the sound of it this is totally a fake and some of the things mentioned above are so not jks style. everyone go buy the real book! its awesome!
well i need a litle more time to get the cash to buy the book but i dont really care if this is a fake or not cuz i already read a few chapters and i like it all the same 🙂 its quite a nicely done book on its own and i really am curios just how close it’ll get to the real version… im gona read em both for twice the fun 😀 … but one thing i hope is that the real book wont get censored down i really like the sexual conotations in this one and after all JKR made a fabulous work on describing in exact detail the life a teenager goes through and at 17 thats exatly the discovery most (more civilized) teenagers figure out S E X !!! u cant just push that aside! im 1 year older than harry i the book and i’ve started reading round the apearence of the 4th book and i quite say i wished i started earlyer there’s real life experience to be gained from these books! Respeckt and awe to JKR and Long live Harry Potter!! 😉

i think Rowling wrote the fake. i mean, look at all the similarities!attack at the wedding, Harry a Horcrux, the dragon and a bunch of other stuff.

I found it strange that the tern “Deathly Hallows” was not mentioned in this fake version at all. the “romancing” was overdone in the fake version. I did enjoy
the fake action though. Having read both (real and fake), you can tell the different styles. The fake did help pass the time on my rainy nights though.

both have simularities and differences
both have bad endings to a certain extent
– this fake one (suggests dudley -> voldemort – dont worry doesnt ruin anything) and the last 50 pages or so of it are terrible
