TOR howto: Using TOR through a ssh-tunnel [via] IT, life and me

If you use TOR, you have to read this article.

Q: I would like to use the Tor network from the host2 over SSH
portforwarding using my Debian host(2) at home.
Is it possible? If so, how can I do it?”
A: Yes, it’s possible without much hassle. First, you need a little bit of software on your client:

1. putty or openssh
2. for your convenience, the Firefox Switchproxy Plugin – it’s not actively supported anymore but IMHO nicer than Torbutton.

There are full instructions with screenshots and really simple text “do’s and don’ts” all step by step as well.  I Highly recommend you read the article even if you have no reason to use TOR from a remote host.  The intro is pure gold!

Great job ITnomad!!
