Challenge To Bush – Iranian President Wants A Debate!!!

29 08 2006

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Iran TV debate challenge to Bush
I don’t know whether to laugh or…laugh harder and cry.

Iran’s president has challenged US President George W Bush to a live TV debate on world affairs.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused the US and UK of abusing their “special privileges” and said a debate would let both sides air their views uncensored.

The White House called his suggestion a “diversion” from global concerns over Iran’s nuclear programme.

I have no doubt that Bush could lose a debate to a cardboard cutout of Katie Couric, so I’m glad he turned down the challenge from the Iranian preasident.  What an embarassment our dullard president is.
We are so fucked. At least until 2008 when SOMEONE, ANYONE other than Bush is in the White House.

Yes, your right we are fucked. But the rest of the world is more fucked and in danger at what this administration might do before 2008 to cause further conflict and strain the the already brittle and crumbled foreign affairs policies as well as domestic. Our President is a frigging embarrassment to democracy including free speech, privacy, due process of law, international law, division of church and state and to much more to list. The moron could not debate his way out of a paper bag. Let us (me) hope for for the sake of all that this nightmare of atrocities ends soon. The damage is done but hopefully some things (except broke lives and the dead) might be reversible in 5 or 10 years since so many people in this world luckily seem to suffer from ADD/short term memory loss/selective memory or at least most of this country does. One day I hope to be proud of our country again, when the severity of the corruption dies down that is, but until then I will remain utterly disgusted. There are some fighting the good fight for real change and trying to get the truth out to the masses but it appears to be likened to tossing pebbles at Godzilla’s feet and having no real effect other than opening more eyes to to the behemoth stomping through the surreal landscape. What the hell would we do if somehow Vice President Cheney was to run and win in 2008 as remote a possibility as that seems. You never know with those Diebold voting machines.😉 Let’s hope things change in 2008, as unlikely as that seems to me, but maybe we shouldn’t have to vote for the lesser of to evils anymore. There is another choice:

I would like to show some thanks to the writer for rescuing me from such a problem. Just after looking throughout the world-wide-web and finding basics which were not helpful, I figured my life was over. Existing without the presence of approaches to the difficulties you have sorted out all through your entire report is a serious case, and the kind which might have in a negative way affected my career if I hadn’t come across your web page. Your primary talents and kindness in touching all the stuff was priceless. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t discovered such a solution like this. I’m able to at this moment relish my future. Thanks for your time very much for the specialized and amazing help. I won’t think twice to propose your web sites to any individual who will need tips about this subject matter.
