Hack Image Shack, Find The IP’s of the Uploader For Any Pic

I was bumming around milw0rm again and I spoted this nifty hack posted by JR123 !!

Here it is:

Find out the url of the image. To do so right click on the image, click properties and view the address url. It should start with something like img47.imageshack.us. Now take that and and add /logs/postlog to the end. Ex: http://img47.imageshack.us/logs/postlog
When it’s done downloading open it in notepad. Press “Ctrl+f” and search through the file for the ending of the imageshack url. Ex:/test565.gif. And right next to that extension is the ip of the uploader, the date it was uploaded, and their upload hash to see all the other pics they’ve uploaded. There are 520 different servers and 520 different logs. Rejoice

The logs can be pretty big sometimes.  But if you’re the curious type, like me.  Give it a whirl.

I don’t think its illegal to get the logs, but it might be so standard disclaimers apply.
